In 2011 and 2012, Kaspersky published a series of interesting virus calendar wallpapers that listed the most important cyber security-related events that had taken place in the previous years.

The security firm has skipped January and February 2013, but it has published the virus calendar wallpapers for March, April and May.

Besides the interesting graphics, the wallpaper for each month shows some interesting information.

For instance, did you know that on April 14, 2008, Mario Simbaqueba Bonilla was sentenced to nine years in prison for using keyloggers to steal sensitive information from computers at hotel business centers and Internet cafes?

Also, did you know that on April 20, 2012, the official Formula 1 website was hacked by Anonymous in protest against the Bahrain government?

If you like such key security events from the past, and if you want a cool wallpaper for your computer desktop, be sure to download each month’s calendar.

The virus calendar wallpapers are available in various sizes here.
