Today, Kaspersky initiated the beta testing period for Anti-Virus 2014 and Internet Security 2014. The fresh releases bring to the table important features designed to increase overall functionality, regardless of the computer type they run on.

As such, the developer introduced support for touch screens, which includes optimizing the user interface and the settings panel.

Also, the new revisions can now support a larger amount of banks and web stores and permit selecting the web browser you want to use when working with Safe Money component.

A very important aspect is support for the Connected Standby technology available in Windows 8. Connected Standby permits the system to stay reachable and up-to-date when it is not in use (the display is off); it is a low-power state of the device, designed to improve battery life by reducing computer processing when the system is not in use.

At the moment these are all the features reported by Kaspersky, but more are available.
