Gamers will be able to create any kind of persona they wish for

Jordan Weisman, the creative director at Harebrained Schemes, has offered some more information on the classless concept behind Shadowrun Returns.

He tells Game Informer that, “players start with a representative Shadowrun character archetype and are then free to grow their character as they wish, spending Karma points to choose any skill or ability available in the game.”

The developer then goes on and details each potential archetype for the player character, arguing why each role from mage to street samurai can add something to the experience.

Shadowrun Returns will be a single player experience which uses a turn based system and allow players to explore a cyberpunk based world and interact with a variety of characters.

The game was supposed to arrive early during 2013 but has since then delayed to the second quarter in order to get more polish.
