The customers of a Spanish movie distributor, Karma Films (karmafilms.es), became exposed to cybercriminal activities after a hacker managed to breach their security measures, leaking sensitive information.

More than 600 users may be affected after the unknown hacker published email addresses, names and clear text passwords in a Pastebin file.

The website didn’t display any warning messages regarding the incident, so I sent them an email to notify them in case they weren’t aware of the breach.

Individuals who own an account on Karma Films’ website are advised to immediately change their passwords since a large number of wannabe hackers could immediately try to take advantage of the leaked data to access other accounts that may store even more sensitive information such as credit card details.
