More fans are speaking out against the Kardashians, Kim in particular

In light of recent events and, in particular, of Kim Kardashian's decision to divorce Kris Humphries, fans are making a move to have her and her family off TV screens. Several petitions are making the rounds, but Boycott Kim Kardashian is definitely the loudest action of the kind.

As we also informed you a few days ago, one petition addressed to E! is asking the network to stop airing any of the Kardashian reality shows, saying “enough is enough,” US audiences have had more than enough of them.

The petition (which you too can sign if you want, here) now has over 140,000 signatures. It also has a sister website, Boycott Kim Kardashian, which offers more explanations as to why having her and the entire “klan” off TV would be ideal.

“Kim Kardashian has made a mockery of American culture, doing whatever it takes to extend her 15 minutes of fame so that she can selfishly profit from her celebrity status, by aligning herself with brands and products to promote,” a notice on website reads.

Until now, Kim has been pulling PR stunt after PR stunt (including staging a wedding) to make sure she still got media exposure, which, in turn, made her richer by the day.

“Setting a horrible example for her young viewers and insulting Americans of all backgrounds and ages, Kim Kardashian cares little about the example she sets as long as her lust for attention and profits is met,” the campaigners explain.

Because parents can't shut out Kim from their kids' lives, the parents must take action by making sure Kim goes away for good.

“We are fed up with companies that believe us to be ignorant and perhaps stupid enough to shop at their stores, buying their products promoted by talentless, tasteless and shameless parasite like Kim Kardashian. Until we speak up, these companies will continue to follow a marketing strategy designed for the sole purpose of fueling their profits, and rewarding buffoons like Kim Kardashian,” the notice further reads.

The website also includes an apparently complete list of brands and companies that have hired Kim as a spokesperson, together with her own companies. All of them must be boycotted for her to go away.

The campaign also aims to show just how ridiculous and useless Kardashian is as a “celebrity.” Among other things, we learn that the money spent on champagne alone at her “fake” wedding could have saved the lives of 14,285 children who died of hunger.
