The mobile phone will arrive on shelves in a matter of days

Phone maker Karbonn is getting ready for the launch of a new Android-based smartphone in India, namely the Titanium S9 HD IPS, and has already made the device official in the country.

Packing a 5.5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen (can deliver only a 720p resolution), the new mobile phone will feature a price tag of INR 19,990 ($331 / €258) in the country, which will make it the most expensive device in the handset vendor’s lineup, AndroidOS notes.

The Karbonn Titanium S9 HD IPS is expected to arrive on shelves in a matter of days, and will be available for purchase all around the country.

The specifications list of the new device includes a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, complemented by 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory, as well as a microSD memory card slot to enable users to expand the available storage space.

Furthermore, the new Karbonn Titanium S9 HD IPS packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with LED flash and support for HD video recording, as well as a 5MP camera on the front, so as to provide users with video calling capabilities while on the go.

The hardware specs of the phone also show a 2600 mAh battery, support for 3G networks in the country, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, and support for two SIM cards at the same time.

On top of that, the Karbonn Titanium S9 HD IPS should provide users with app the features and capabilities that Android 4.2 Jelly Bean has been designed with, it seems.
