Karbonn launched the Titanium Octane and Octane Plus premium smartphones in India back in June for Rs 14,490 ($235 / €170) and Rs 17,900 ($290 / €220), respectively.

Well, it looks like they aren’t that popular among Android fans in India, which is why Karbonn is now looking to make the smartphones more appealing to customers in this country.

How is the Indian company going to achieve that? By slashing the outright price of these Titanium series smartphones. For example, Karbonn Titanium Octane is now available for purchase for only Rs 11,990 ($195 / €145), while the Titanium Octane Plus can be had for Rs 13,990 ($230 / €170).

Keep in mind, though, that Karbonn Titanium Octane and Octane Plus are exclusively available in India through major retailer Snapdeal. So if you want one of the two smartphones, this is the place to look for it.

“The new Karbonn Titanium Octane comes packed with features and is being launched at a lucrative price point as well. The launch of this product on Snapdeal.com is in line with our motto of offering our customers with the highest quality of products at best prices.

“We are happy to have partnered with Karbonn Mobiles to have exclusively launched their latest product offering on the site. We look forward to a long term and mutually beneficial relationship,” said Tony Navin, senior VP, Electronics & Home, Snapdeal.

In terms of specs, the Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus is equipped with a powerful 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, a Mali-450MP4 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

The smartphone packs 16GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). The Titanium Octane Plus sports a vibrant 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

Another strong point of the device would be the 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as the 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

The cheaper Titanium Octane smartphone comes with the same 1.7GHz octa-core processor, but only 1GB of RAM. Even though the phone’s display has the same 5-inch size, it supports a different HD (720p) resolution.

Karbonn Titanium Octane has 16GB of storage inside and boasts a no less impressive 13-megapxiel main photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. There’s also a secondary 5-megapxiel front-facing camera and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
