The first smartphone in the lineup, the Karbonn A16, arrives on shelves with a 3.9-inch WVGA touchscreen display, while also featuring a 1.3GHz dual-core processor inside.

Furthermore, the new mobile phone arrives on shelves with 512MB of RAM and with 4GB of internal memory, which also packing a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

The handset features a 5-megapixel camera on the back, front camera for video calling, and Android 4.2 loaded on top. It is powered by a 1350 mAh battery and sports a price tag of Rs. 5,990 ($98 / €72).

Karbonn A99, on the other hand, is a bit larger at 4 inches, and features a 1400 mAh battery inside, while sporting a price tag of Rs. 6,190 ($101 / 75). However, the rest of this mobile phone’s hardware specifications are the same as those of Karbonn A16.

Both handsets come with support for 3G networks, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, Dual-SIM (GSM + GSM), FM Radio, and built-in GPS receiver.

Furthermore, the third new handset from the company, namely the Karbonn A12+, comes with the same specs.

In fact, AndroidOS notes that it is identical in capabilities with the Karbonn A99, but that its outer design is different. The price tag of this smartphone was set at only Rs. 5,199 ($85 / €63), it seems.

It’s rather interesting to see that Karbonn is launching three similar devices at the same time, despite the fact that they feature different price tags.
