Indian mobile phone maker Karbonn has introduced two new Android-based smartphones to its homeland market, in the form of Opium N7 and Opium N9.

Both of these devices have been included in the company’s new Opium series of devices, and both of them are entry-level handsets.

The two devices run under the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system, but should be able to deliver value at low cost.

The new Karbonn Opium N7 has been made official with a 4-inch IPS touchscreen display capable of delivering an 800 x 480 pixels resolution, while being powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor.

Moreover, the new device arrives on shelves with 512MB of RAM, while also featuring 4GB of internal memory. A microSD memory card slot was also included in the package, capable of accommodating memory cards of up to 32GB.

On the back, the new Opium N7 features a 5-megapixel camera with LED Flash, which is complemented by a VGA front camera for making video calls while on the go.

The handset has also been announced with support for 3G networks, along with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. Moreover, it sports a GPS receiver, as well as 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio.

Karbonn Opium N7 arrives on shelves with dual-SIM capabilities, while being powered by a 1600mAh battery. As fonearena notes, the smartphone’s outer design resembles that of Karbonn’s popular Titanium series.

In fact, it appears that the same applies to the Karbonn Opium N9 too, the second Android handset included in Karbonn’s brand-new series of devices.

This phone has been made official with a 5-inch IPS display that can deliver an HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution, and with a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor inside.
