Karbonn recently announced the immediate availability in India of yet other two Android phones, the A9+ and A21.

Both smartphones are now available for purchase via leading retailers across the country for Rs 9,290 (174 USD or 135 EUR) and Rs 10,490 (195 USD or 150 EUR), respectively.

Earlier last week the Indian handset maker launched three new Android smartphones (A1+, A7+ and A11), as well as two tablets (Smart Tab Blade 3 and Smart Tab 9 Marvel).

All Android devices launched by Karbonn are budget-friendly, which is one of the aspects that Indian companies releasing Android smartphones currently focus on.

Micromax and iBall recently launched new products on the Android market, which makes the competition in India even fiercer.

The latest devices announced by Karbonn, A9+ and A21 come with dual-SIM capabilities, which is not surprising given the fact that most smartphones launched in India offer this feature.

Both smartphones are powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box, so owners won’t have to wait for an upgrade that will probably never come.

Furthermore, Karbonn A9+ and A21 are equipped with 1.2 GHz processors, though the handset manufacturer does not mention if these are dual-core or single-core CPUs.

However, we know for sure that the former comes with a 4.0-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display, while the latter sports a slightly larger 4.5-inch WVGA touchscreen that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution.

Both smartphones feature 5-megapixel rear cameras, but the Karbonn A21 has a much better 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery, whereas the A9+ embeds a 1420 mAh Li-Ion battery.

According to Karbonn, the A21 comes with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of ROM, but several customers who purchased the device claim it only comes with 368MB of RAM and 2.5GB user memory. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
