Konami Digital Entertainment, as the video game publisher, and Twentieth Century Fox, as the holder of the original intellectual property, are announcing the launch of Karaoke Revolution Glee, a title which simulates the most interesting dance and musical numbers seen in the television series.

The game includes content that has been seen in the first season of the breakout television show, including “No Air”, “Proud Mary”, “Don't Stop Believin'”, “Somebody to Love”, “Gold Digger”.

Gamers are not only able to experience the songs and dances directly but they can also choose characters like Rachel Berry, football star Finn Hudson or Will Schuester as their companions in the game.

Karaoke Revolution Glee also offers as bonuses unlockable content that has not been shown on television.

Shinji Hirano, the president of Konami Digital Entertainment, stated, “Millions of fans nationwide have made GLEE one of the leading musical shows of our generation. As leaders in the music game genre, we felt it was only natural to partner with FOX to create an experience that 'Gleeks' and gamers can enjoy in an interactive Karaoke experience.”

Gary Rosenfeld, who is the senior vice president in charge of New Media at Fox Consumer Products, says, “Karaoke Revolution Glee will take the franchise to a whole new level by giving fans a chance to pick up the mic and join their favorite characters on stage. 'Gleeks' can now join the New Directions glee club and experience the show footage, themes, characters and music in a whole new way. We're very pleased to be able to join forces with Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. to offer this to our devoted fan base.”

Karaoke Revolution is one of the most well known Konami franchises on the market and if the Glee spin off is successful with fans of the television series and gamers the publisher will likely also offer content based on season two, either through downloadable content or via a brand new game.
