It had to be something grand and classy, and what better location than the place which defines grandeur and class? The famous couple of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are keeping their eyes on the French royal palace at Versailles for their upcoming nuptials.

Sources close to the couple say that, since this is Kanye's first time at the altar, he wants it to be big and special, something anyone can believe, based on his general preference and his extremely large ego that has landed him in hot water on several occasions.

Those who keep track of Kanye's exploits might remember that he is a guy who prefers to do everything big and public.

For example, when he proposed to Kim back in October, the man literally rented out the entire San Francisco AT&T park, hired a 50-piece orchestra and had the words “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!” light up on a giant screen. If that won't get a girl to marry you, nothing will!

However, Kim Kardashian might not be your regular, run-of-the-mill bride-to-be, since she's been married before. At one time, she said “I do” to NBA player Kris Humphries in a ceremony that cost $10 million (€7,34 million). But that doesn't seem to have impressed her deeply, since she filed for divorce a mere 72 days later.

Her first marriage was even shorter, and is less documented in the press.

Clearly, by this Versailles move, the couple are looking to rival one of the most famous weddings in recent years, that of the British Royal family, an event which literally captured the attention of the entire world. Only time will tell if they will go on with their rumored classy French wedding.

No word yet if the Palace of Versailles, the epitome of French class and opulence, is open for weddings, bar mitzvahs and/or graduation parties.
