14 DAY TRIAL // Kanye West is getting ready for a career change according to latest reports, as the singer is trying to broaden his creative horizons and take over new business ventures. You might know him as a successful rapper, performer and entertainer, but he wants to be known more as a fashion designer and clothes creator than anything.
The singer has been reaching out and creating more and more ties with the fashion world in the past year and spending less and less time in the studio and on the road, so it does seem like the reports have some truth to them.
Kanye already has many ventures in fashion, some successful, some not so much
After all, Kanye already has his own self-named clothing line which he first launched in 2011 at the Paris Fashion Week. Granted, it didn't go as planned since he was forced to stop production less than a year after due to poor sales.
But Kanye did not give in and partnered up with APC to create a luxury clothing collection that sold out in less than 24 hours. His latest partnership is with Adidas and it's for creating new designs for sports shoes.
The whole deal was a real scandal in the fashion world as Kanye first turned to Nike, but for various reasons, a deal between them was not made and Kanye immediately went to their biggest rival and signed a deal, blasting the company for not wanting to work with him.
Now, a source tells Page Six that “After his next [collaboration] with Paul McCartney comes out, he's going to step away from music and concentrate on clothing. He got a $15million [€12 million] signing bonus from Adidas, but his line has been pushed back four times because he hasn't had enough time to work on it.”
And while Kanye is doing his thing, Kim Kardashian is definitely working the same front. She's got many collections out already, as well as endorsing other fashion-related products such as perfumes, nail polish and everything in between.

The gossip is that Kanye plans to further expand his horizons by taking over his wife's career, but there is some trouble brewing since she doesn't want to fully give up on her family. There was even talk of divorce as the two celebrities could not reach an accord and some blogs speculated that Kanye held on to a dark secret in Kim's past, using it as leverage to keep her from divorcing him.
It turned out that the secret was a threesome Kanye and Kim did with a Victoria's Secret model back in 2010, at a time when they were not officially together.
