It could be that all the controversy surrounding the famous rapper Kanye West and his equally famous fiancée Kim Kardashian is actually doing more bad than good to Kanye's career at the moment. Although it should have been one of the highlights of his musical endeavors this year, his tour is quickly turning into a disappointment.

The Kansas City Star reports on the low attendance for the concert and comments that “West almost certainly could have filled Sprint Center five years ago.” But as it stands, he didn't even manage to draw in 5,000 people in the arena that can accommodate almost 4 times as many.

The low attendance didn't stop Kanye from launching himself into one of his well-known rants but he concluded on a somewhat unfamiliar tone for him, a bit apologetic: “I don't always say the right thins at the right time. I'm better at saying the wrong things at the wrong time.”

This might be in reference to his latest scandal in which he's been accused of anti-semitic remarks when he said that Obama is limited in his actions by his low number of connections when compared to Jews and people from the oil industry.

This quickly drew in criticism from the Anti-Defamation League and probably earned him more than a few raised eyebrows from fans.

The “Bound 2” rapper did put a lot of effort into his tour as the high tech decor showed, the elaborate dance routines and fantastic costumes, but he doesn't hesitate to walk out on his ever-dwindling crowds if something doesn't go his way, just like he did in Florida, when he stormed off stage, furious at his technical crew.

His tour “Yeezus” is set to end in Toronto, Canada, around Christmas. But it hasn't been smooth sailing from the start, as the 39-year-old rapper was forced to cancel or postpone multiple concerts from the tour due to technical difficulties.
