A source close to Kanye West has clarified that the singer will not be naming his upcoming album "I Am God," after rumors of the controversial name have surfaced in the last few days.
Other names were allegedly considered for the album, specifically "Rich Black American" and "Black American Psycho," but there is no confirmation of the actual title at this point, The Drop writes.
"Kanye’s ego is something else, so he’s quite serious about the title. He also has a sense of humor though and knows how his self-indulgence is seen by the general public. It’s half tongue-in-cheek, half what Kanye probably feels is true," an insider indicated.
Reports of Kanye naming his album in a manner illustrating a God complex have surfaced after a week of speculation on how the artist's child will be named.
As we also informed you, Kanye and Kim Kardashian's child could take the first name North, which would make her either North West or North West Kardashian.
"He sounded out pals about the moniker last month while working in Paris during fashion week. But the title is unlikely to go down well with girlfriend Kim, 32, whose family have a tradition of starting their first names with a K," another source has told the media.
However, in an interview with Extra the mother-to-be hints that they are probably not going with "North." They might be choosing a name beginning with the letter K, in keeping with the Kardashian family tradition, she adds.
"I think it would be really cute ’cause Kanye and I are both K’s… but half the names on our list aren’t K’s… we still have time, whatever feels right… Kanye being the father wants something that’s unique," she says.
