What an unlikely match! Gritty rapper Kanye West is said to be eyeing a collaboration with New Zealander Lorde. Lorde is said to be a huge fans of Kanye and has been claiming he was a big influence on her musical style. At least some of that sympathy is reciprocated, as Kanye once commended Lorde on the lyrics of her songs.

The supposed collaboration was revealed by Page Six, which claims that the two singers are scheduled to hit the studio as soon as the Australian leg of Kanye's “Yeezus” tour is completed. Since that has already happened and Kanye flew back to Los Angeles with Kim Kardashian and daughter North, people are now waiting for Lorde to show up.

A testimony to Lorde's passion for Kanye is the fact that she's been covering his songs while on tour. That points in the direction that both of them are going to do a track together. It's been speculated that the track could be featured on both their upcoming albums which are in the works, or at least on one of them.

Either singer hasn't made an official statement in the matter so it's still just a rumor for now. But fans have already gotten their hopes up.
