Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been dating – officially – for about four months, so it's no wonder people are already talking about their plans for a most fabulous wedding. As it turns out, the rapper has every intention to propose the minute her divorce from Kris Humphries is finalized.

Moreover, the rapper has already commissioned a gorgeous diamond ring for his future wife, Radar Online has learned.

The only reason he is yet to mention anything to Kim is that he's holding off the proposal until she's legally a single woman.

Fans must know that Kim married Kris Humphries in August last year, and filed for divorce just 72 days later, prompting a lot of speculation about how the marriage had been a PR stunt meant to boost their profile and her ratings.

Spies say Kanye is preparing for the day when the divorce is finalized big time: he chose several pieces from her late mother's personal collection and is planning to have them used for an engagement ring.

“Kanye picked out some of Donda’s most expensive pieces, including some diamond earrings and a ruby ring,” says a spy.

“He then gave them to a private jeweler friend to make Kim a one-of-a-kind engagement ring. Donda was such an important person in Kanye’s life, he thought the world of her and was devastated when she died. So, he kept all her jewelry as keepsakes – a lot of the pieces were items he bought over the years after he made it as a hip-hop star,” the insider goes on to say.

“And now, Kanye has found a woman he respects and loves just as much as his mom, so he wants to share her jewelry collection with Kim. He’s hoping to propose to Kim with the ring when she finally gets divorced,” adds the tipster.

He might feel that way toward Kim, but his friends believe he's making a huge mistake by giving her such an expensive, personal gift: because she makes money solely from her image (whichever way possible), they think Kanye should not make Donda West, his late mother, part of said image.

Always the romantic, Kanye is turning a deaf ear on their friendly words of advice and is already thinking about possible locations for the wedding ceremony.

So far, he's zoomed in on Chicago and Oklahoma, Radar says. No word yet on whether he plans to allow TV cameras access to the whole thing.
