Kanye West surprises fellow travelers with impromptu live performance in mid-air
Kanye West surprises fellow travelers with impromptu live performance in mid-air

Before he made a surprise but scheduled appearance at the 30 Seconds to Mars pre-EMAs live gig, Kanye West was entertaining passengers on a Delta Airlines flight – live from the cockpit.

HollywoodLife reports that the rapper was on the plane going from Minneapolis to NYC on November 5, flying first class, of course.

At one point during the flight, about 30 minutes into it or so, the rapper made his way to the cockpit and entertained the passengers with a mini live performance, much to their collective delight.

“A passenger tells HollywoodLife that Kanye, who was seated in First Class, came on the loud speaker about 30 minutes into the flight and rapped family-friendly versions of ‘The Good Life’ and ‘Gold Digger’,” the e-zine reports.

“I had to pass through First Class to get my seat in Economy, and I saw Kanye sitting there with a little drink in his hand. I wouldn’t have even thought it was him, but he was sitting with a very PR-looking lady,” the eyewitness reveals.

30 minutes later, Kanye was speaking on the microphone and, understandably, everybody “freaked out.” The video below will confirm that, indeed, the rapper’s impromptu show was very well received.

“He was like, ‘Yo, this your n***a, Kanye.’ Then he couldn’t decide if he wanted to do ‘The Good Life’ or ‘Gold Digger,’ so he was like, ‘I’ll just do a little bit of both’,” the same source dishes.

“It was awesome… but I still have no idea how he got into the cockpit,” the eyewitness says. And the good (and surprising) behavior on Kanye’s part did not stop here either.

“He filed out in line with everyone else, and I thought that was pretty cool. Especially for Kanye,” the spy says for the aforementioned e-zine.

As fans must know, one of the sins Kanye has often been accused of is that of having a larger than life ego, one that even entitles him to speak of himself in the third person, among other things.
