In between rapping, being a father and a boyfriend, Kanye West still finds the time to give motivational speeches and review design students' work at Harvard Graduate School of Design. The singer surprised students with a lecture about his unique way of perceiving design and art.

The well-known rapper gave a so-called motivational speech to Harvard's design students while promoting his company DONDA and his current tour, of course. Through DONDA, West is planning to change the world, focusing on art and design.

The artist's speech at Harvard was just the first from a series of lectures meant to give students information about his company and maybe a boost of motivation as well, because the “the world can be saved through design, and everything needs to actually be architected.”

DONDA, named after Kanye's late mother, was created in January 2012 with the purpose “to dream of, create, advertise and produce products driven equally by emotional want and utilitarian need.. To marry our wants and needs.” According to his tweets, the artist's vision is that the company should be composed of 22 divisions that can affect the world and “pick up where Steve Jobs left off.”

Kanye is really going on a limb with his initiative, “I believe that utopia is actually possible—but we're led by the least noble, the least dignified, the least tasteful, the dumbest, and the most political,” he told the students during his lecture.

The singer admitted to being really inspired while sharing the space with the Harvard students and encouraged the young designers to join him at his show in the evening. Kanye even offered 300 free tickets to the students who wanted to go, on a “first come, first served” basis, because Kanye is a self-titled anarchist.

Kim Kardashian could not miss her husband's first Harvard lecture, being by Kanye's side all the time and bragging about it with a photo on Instagram with the caption, “My baby speaking at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.”

The reactions Kanye's speech generated where not all positive, with some users on Instagram commenting that, “It's just like one of those people trying to convince you to join their religious cult in an overpass or something...” or “the only thing he has done good was make black men look stupid.”
