14 DAY TRIAL // Kris Jenner has made a reputation of being a “momager,” that is a cunning manager of all her children's careers, in a way that is most profitable to them and to the family. There were rumors that the authoritative mother keeps a tight leash on all her girls, but now it seems she's met her match.
Radar claims that Kim Kardashian is no longer under her mother's control, at least as far as her career goes. It seems that role has been transferred to husband-to-be Kanye West.
“Kanye is now totally in charge of Kim’s career and his non-stop wheeling and dealing is leaving Kris out of control,” says a source that has close business ties with the Kardashian clan.
So far, Kanye has done his best to cut Kris as much as possible from taking career decisions when it comes to Kim, “Kanye has managed to get Kim to cut her magazine and media appearances by a shocking level and that’s going directly against Kris’ plan to seize every publicity opportunity offered to her daughters.”
There have been previous stories about Kanye putting his foot down in regard to fiancée Kim, as he did when he didn't want his daughter featured on their reality show or when he told Kim to stop playing a part on the same TV series as it made her look bad.
But that's not all, “Kanye has ordered Kim to run out the clock on several of her fashion endorsement projects, including the lucrative deal with Sears which she shares with her sisters,” adds the insider.
Moreover, it was Kanye's marketing genius that encouraged Kim to pursue the clothes collection for kids that she's just announced. Kanye himself has been endorsing and creating garments with quite some success for a while now. After all, his limited edition Nike sneakers, sold out in a matter of minutes.
The insider does foresee some problems in the future, because Kanye is planning to shut out Kris as much as possible, especially when it comes to raising daughter North. To add fire to the flames, Kanye is reportedly getting tired and uncomfortable living in Kris' home while their mansion is undergoing repairs.
Will momma Kris relinquish her control over Kim? Only time will tell, but Kanye's not letting up easy.
