Talk about an overinflated ego: Kanye says he puts his life on the line for his music

Well, talk about a severe case of an overinflated ego: Kanye West isn’t just happy to compare himself to Jesus and to say that he’s one of the most creative, original, and overall underappreciated artists of our times, he’s now comparing himself to cops and soldiers.

Believe it or not, but being a rapper is dangerous stuff, almost as dangerous as going out on the streets to “serve and protect” or heading to a conflict-torn zone on a tour. You don’t know danger until Kanye tells you about it!

And he’s making sure you know all about it, as the video above will confirm.

“When I think about when I’m on the ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing,’ and ‘Coldest Winter’ moment, like that mountain goes really, really high. And if I slipped… You never know. And I think about it. I think about my family and I’m like, wow, this is like being a police officer or something, or like a war or something,” he says.

“Like you’re literally going out to do your job every day you know, knowing something can happen to you… verbally from the press bashing you… you know, people not liking you anymore… you could actually slip on that stage,” he adds.

I’m sure you’ll agree that facing certain death each day on the job (as is the case with police officers and soldiers) is exactly the same thing like tripping and falling on a stage, or getting a bad review in the press. Kanye knows what it’s all about.
