14 DAY TRIAL // The Kardashians aren’t anything if not fond of names that start with a K but, for Kim Kardashian’s first child, due this summer, they might take a different route. Kanye West has been telling friends he wants to name the baby North, reports online claim.
As in, the baby, rumored to be a girl, will be called North West, probably even North West Kardashian, The Sun claims.
The British tab writes that friends are shocked at the kind of ego the rapper has, since he’s only fixated on the name because it goes so well with his surname.
“He sounded out pals about the moniker last month while working in Paris during fashion week. But the title is unlikely to go down well with girlfriend Kim, 32, whose family have a tradition of starting their first names with a K,” the tab claims.
For the time being though, Kim has not said anything yet about a favorite baby name, or revealed whether she’s having a boy or a girl.
This is her first child with the rapper beau. Legally, Kim is still married to her husband of 72 days, Kris Humphries, claiming in court that the stress of the ongoing divorce proceedings is putting the baby at risk.
Back on the topic of Kanye’s huge ego, the same report argues that he is also working on a new album that he’s thinking of calling “I Am God,” which, somehow, is easier to believe than the rumor that he’s thinking of naming his child North.
“Kanye’s ego is something else, so he’s quite serious about the title. He also has a sense of humor though and knows how his self-indulgence is seen by the general public. It’s half tongue-in-cheek, half what Kanye probably feels is true,” an insider says for the tab.
