Kanye West is still riding the success of his last tour and album, “Yeezus,” but this time he's not adding more dates to it, but turning the concert footage into a movie. The singer plans to keep the momentum going with a Yeezus tour movie that already has a trailer out.

The movie will be directed by one of the music videos industry's biggest names, Hype Williams, an old collaborator for Kanye West, who has worked with him in the past. The movie is going to be released in cinemas, based on the line “coming to theaters,” but it does not specify when that's going to happen.

The 30-second trailer which is actually more like a teaser, seems pretty rough around the edges, with bad editing that is reminiscent of 60s B flicks, something which is more common for Quentin Tarantino.

The clip is made up of footage taken from live performances Kanye gave on stage, meant to showcase the complexity of his show. While it does look visually enticing, Kanye couldn't resist to add a shot of horse running in the snow.

What is up with Kanye and running horses? You might remember a similar shot in his “Bound 2” video, if you weren't too busy staring at Kim's bare chest bouncing on the motorcycle while the light playfully kept the important bits hidden to view.

It's not known yet if the movie is also going to add some behind the stage footage or some documentary-style action in which Kanye explains his creative process.

This concert movie is not the only cinematographic project Kanye is involved in at the moment. It's already been revealed that he's doing a biopic in collaboration with American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis.

Just today it was reported that Kanye had decided to cast Kim Kardashian to play herself in the movie in “a pivotal role,” while the singer himself is going to be portrayed by someone else. “Her [part] is going to be very dramatic, far from the bubbly happy persona that she’s always played,” said a person involved with the project.

And if you're wondering just how Kanye West has managed to convince best-selling author Bret Easton Ellis to write a movie for him, it was all done with music. Ellis himself confessed in an interview that he wanted nothing to do with the man until he listened his album.

The two are now said to be very good friends after Ellis has admitted that he comes off as a very different person in real life than from how he's exposed in the media.
