14 DAY TRIAL // Kanye West is working on a new album, the follow-up to his insanely successful “Yeezus,” and fans could already get a taste of what he’s got cooking for it, with “Only One.” “Only One” is a collaboration with Sir Paul McCartney, envisioned as a letter from Kanye’s late mother Donda, in which she tells him she sent him an angel to watch over him.
The angel is the rapper’s daughter with reality star Kim Kardashian, North West, so it only made sense to feature her in the official music video, which premiered the other day on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Production-wise, this was one cheap music video to shoot, from the looks of things: it plays more like footage from the star’s personal archive, of a rainy walk in the fields with his daughter North, looking downright adorable in an outfit matching his daddy’s.
Sure, it’s raining outside and Kanye has his hoodie on but North doesn’t, but even so, this is perhaps the most touching and personal video he’s ever put his name to.
Talking to Ellen, Kanye did say that married life and fatherhood had changed him in unexpected ways, so with this video, what we’re seeing is a brand new Kanye. And he’s adorable, for a change.
