The singer and the President are now BFFs, apparently

Kanye West is known for his often ludicrous and outrageous comments, especially when it comes to his own greatness or everything remotely connected with politics or economy. People have learned to not take him seriously because the rapper is often offensive and vindictive when it comes to getting his point across.

Granted, it's been a while since Kanye last raised any eyebrows, but don't worry, he's about to make a comeback pretty soon as he's just picked a side in the Tuesday American midterm voting. The rapper apparently met up with President Obama and he was so persuasive that Kanye now felt the need to go forth and spread his message.

Kanye shows his support for the Democrats in the midterms

Yesterday evening, the rapper took to his Twitter account to tell his millions of followers, “Me and my wife met with President Obama two weeks ago.” In a series of short tweets he then decided to get involved in the political battle, “I'm supporting the Democratic ticket in these midterms.” “The midterms are extremely important.” “I know it's last minute, but if you haven't voted, please vote today.”

Notice that Kanye never directly tells you to vote Democrat, but he does tell you his political preferences and then urges you to vote yourself, in which ever you see fit. His political views are shared by his wife, Kim Kardashian, and thank God for that, otherwise we could have witnessed an early divorce.

Kim herself took to her own Twitter account and told her followers that she supported Obama and also urged people to vote.

Obama was never a Kim and Kanye fan and they know that

This comes as a surprise, since Obama famously called Kanye a “jackass” after the 2009 VMA incident in which Kanye came up on stage to disrupt Taylor Swift who had just received an award. Kanye brushed it off by saying, “He was just trying to be cool in a room full of people that would be judging him also. It's just like ‘Ye, I know you can take that one on the chest so let me just say that right now.’”

But reports showed that Obama really dodged both Kanye and Kim on numerous occasions. Presumably, Kim wanted to get involved in Obama's presidential campaign back when he was running for office, but his people would not allow her to even come close to him because of her less than respectable raunchy tape and numerous scandals.

Still, both Kanye and Kim seem to have over the disses and are keen to show their support for Barack Obama. That wasn't apparently enough since initial reports claim that the Republicans managed to score a majority of the votes.
