The magazine, basing the story on unnamed sources close to the multi-platinum 'Gold Digger' artist, states that he has finally proposed to his long-time girlfriend. Unfortunately, her last name, age and occupation are not presently available as the rapper or his representatives couldn't be reached for comment.

Kanye and Alexis have had a very long relationship, which started even before he made it big as a singer with the 'College Dropout' album. All things considered, she was the one that stood by his bed while admitted in the hospital with a wired jaw, after the October 2002 neat-fatal accident.

After a while, the couple grew apart for more than two years, while West dated the MTV assistant turned model, Brooke Crittenden, for more than a year. He has also been linked in the past with Pamela Anderson and Fantasia Barrino from 'American Idol' but the relationships were never confirmed by any of the parties.

It seems that Kanye proposed to Alexis while on a two-week vacation overseas but, up to now, there is no information as to the exact place where the going down on one knee took place or where (and when) the wedding ceremony is to take place.
