14 DAY TRIAL // Kanye West will be the musical guest on the May 18 season finale of Saturday Night Live but, before he agreed to be on the show, he got producers to agree to a no-bashing-Kim-Kardashian clause, Radar Online has learned.
Writers really wanted to spoof Kim with a skit and they were determined not to spare any punches. Just like old times.
However, Kanye made sure they understood he would not stand for that. He even got them to give Kim a cameo in the skit, insiders say.
“Normally the writers have free reign and just go for it, but there has to be some boundaries when your musical guest is Kanye and he’s super sensitive about the constant Kim bashing,” says one spy.
“They’ve come up with a win-win scenario where Kim actually gets a cameo at the end of the skit. That would probably make everyone in Kanye’s camp — and especially Kim — very happy,” the insider says.
Admittedly, Kanye has been having a real hard time with all the Kim K jokes making the rounds these days, and particularly with how much grief she’s getting for her pregnancy weight gain.
