Almost one year after his infamous “Imma let you finish” interruption at MTV’s Video Music Awards, Kanye West is finally speaking out on the scandal, once more apologizing to Taylor Swift for it.

Over the weekend, Kanye went in full Twitter mode, posting about 100 tweets in the space of two hours or so – and all had to do with the Swift scandal and how the media treated him.

As fans must know, in 2009, as Swift was on stage to accept her Best Female Video award, Kanye came up on stage, took the microphone from her hand, uttered the all too familiar now phrase “Imma let you finish” and proceeded to explain why Beyonce should have won.

After this, not only did the media turn its back on the rapper, but also did many fans, some of which, according to Kanye himself, even suggested he would be better off dead.

All this has not failed to take its toll on him, Kanye tweets – and, in the end, no one came out the winner of a very painful and embarrassing situation.

“Man I love Twitter... I’ve always been at the mercy of the press but no more... The media tried to demonize me,” the rapper begins by saying.

“Remember in Anchor Man when Ron Burgandy cursed on air and the entire city turned on him? But this wasn’t a joke. This was & is my real life,” he says, explaining the need for his flurry of tweets.

He also explains how he saw the scandal evolve from a mere interruption to an issue of race. It was as if people really wanted to hate him and were just looking for an opportunity.

“I’ve hurt, I’ve bled, I’ve learned. I only want to do good. I am passionate I am human I am real. I wish I could meet every hater. I wish I could talk to every hater face to face and change there a opinion of me one conversation at a time,” Kanye professes.

“I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that’s so beautiful and I want her to have it. If she won’t take it then I’ll perform it for her,” the rapper adds.

He then goes on to say that he takes full responsibility for his actions, that’s he’s realized he needed to grow up and has changed for the better.

Kanye ends the long series of tweets with a very simple – and, according to many, effective – message: “I’m sorry Taylor.”
