The rapper Kanye West is one of the favorites of the ceremony that is to take place this Thursday. West is competing at the Video Music Awards for 'Video of the Year', 'Best Male Video' and 'Best Hip-Hop Video', with all the nominations going for 'Gold Digger'.
But the singer is not happy with the list of candidates, saying that he believes that his best video in his entire career was overlooked from the final countdown. He is referring to the Evil Knievel spoof, featuring Pamela Anderson, the video for 'Touch the Sky', the fourth single released from the album 'Late Registration'.
'It didn't get any nominations, but it's one of the most memorable videos of the year for me', Kanye said in a recent interview. While he truly believes that the video is one of the greatest of the year, the performer is not blinded by that and is definitely not ignoring the fact that the single itself was not such a big hit.
'I'm not trying to be number 1; I'm trying to make something that lasts forever, something that's really memorable', the rapper had to say about the thing that makes him go on (and prosper) in the industry. On a side note, his 'Gold Digger' is rated on many websites that specialize in bets, with +100 odds at winning the 'Video of the Year' award.
