About Kanotix

Kanotix is a Debian-based Linux distro designed to be used as a live environment, straight from the DVD, but also as a stand-alone hard drive install.

Though it's based on the latest available stable version of Debian, it comes with some interesting twists, like the very latest Linux kernel, from Ubuntu development builds on which it adds a number of patches for broader hardware support and other fixes.

It defaults to the KDE SC desktop environment with custom art. It comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
