USB Flash drives have become somewhat of a commodity nowadays, as most computer users are currently employing this media storage device to keep personal data and various digital files. It has become rather difficult to distinguish USB drives from one another, as most of them boast a similar design and technical specifications. However, a relatively unknown company, called Kanguru Solutions, has recently unveiled a new flash drive, boasting an impressive 64GB of storage space and a rather interesting choice for the connecting interface. The e-Flash drive has been featured with two interfaces, namely the traditional USB 2.0 and the more recent eSATA one.

The 64GB Kanguru e-Flash, which comes as an updated version of the company's previous 32GB model, has been featured with a dual connectivity interface, consequently providing users with an additional choice for transferring data to and from the portable drive. The drive has been built with connectors on both ends, users being faced with the choice for a USB or an eSATA connectivity.

Although most systems today are standardly featured with a USB drive, the more recent eSATA port allows one to take advantage of the increased performance over the USB interface, making the Kanguru e-Flash faster than traditional USB drives. The drive comes with an eSATA+ power bracket and an eSATA+ power cable to easily hook up the drive to the computer that is mostly used.

Additionally, the drive has an aluminum casing that can be featured with a customized engraving and secure caps that will protect its integrity and the stored data. To sweeten the offer, the company also sells an ExpressCard with Powered eSATA for those users that want to employ their e-Flash drive with their portable computer system.

Designed to be compatible with Mac OS 9.x and above, Linux 2.4 and above and all of the most recent Windows operating systems, the drive should soon make it to the market. Unfortunately, there are no current details on pricing and availability.
