Although most users don't need to multiply data stored onto USB drives on a daily basis, there are certain situations (back ups, IT work, sales and marketing preparation, PC rollouts, etc.) when a device that can copy the same files over and over again onto several such portable storage solutions could really come in handy. And this is the reason why the Kanguru company, a well-known manufacturer of various storage solutions, has just announced the release of its USB Duplicator, a device that can virtually multiply 1 drive up to 24 times.

According to the company's statement, the device is designed to streamline data distribution among portable USB storage devices, and this is the reason why the Kanguru USB Duplicator (compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 1.1) uses eight main function modes to copy and verify data, offers five different setup modes, and works with USB memory sticks as well as USB hard drives. The USB Duplicator comes in 2 sizes: 1 Master to 9 Targets and 1 Master to 24 Targets.

The Kanguru USB Duplicator comes with an LCD display that allows users to navigate its many functions a lot easier. And since we're on the subject of functions, it's important to note the fact that the device includes such features as Copy (Full/Brief), Compare (Full/Brief), Verify, and Format.

The unit works in a fairly simple manner. Thus, all the user has to do is simply insert the master device, and as they insert the target devices, the duplication process begins automatically. Then, after the data is transferred to a target device, it can be removed and replaced by another model, while the Duplicator continues copying. The Kanguru USB Duplicator is intuitive and supports all major file systems, including Windows, DOS, Linux, and Mac file system types.

"This is a fantastic product considering the proliferation of USB storage devices. Consider the many uses and need for a stand alone USB duplication system that will copy information from one USB device to multiple USB devices simultaneously while the user does something else. It has been a long time coming, but now, it's here," said Donald Brown, President, CEO of Kanguru Solutions.

Unfortunately, no pricing or availability details have been released for the time being (not even a photo is available, unfortunately), but we sure hope that the company will be more "generous" on the future.
