Kaley Cuoco did not make a secret of her romance with tennis player Ryan Sweeting, as anyone who’s following either one on social media must know, but the news that they’re engaged still comes a shock.

Her publicist has confirmed it for celebrity publication Us Weekly so, if one is to take a wild guess, perhaps the “Big Bang Theory” actress is making wedding plans as we speak.

The first rumors about a possible engagement started to make the rounds shortly after the Emmys 2013, where she and Ryan made their red carpet debut. The next day, she was photographed wearing what looked very much like an engagement ring.

As it turns out, that’s what it was.

An insider says for Us Weekly that, though the two have only been dating for 3 months, they’re convinced their love is for life.

“It's only been three months but she knows Ryan is the one. When you know, you know,” says the tipster.

The publication writes that Ryan popped the question a few days ago, with Kaley half-announcing the big news on Twitter, with the extremely romantic message, “Flying high, I could literally touch the sky with you.”

As noted above, their social media accounts are confirmation that they’re completely smitten. They have even exchanged “I love yous” on Twitter.

“[She's] never felt this way. She knows this is it. And the ring is gorgeous!” the insider gushes. “It will be the first marriage for both, who first stepped out together at a horse ranch in Moorpark, Calif., in early August,” Us Weekly adds.

Kaley started dating Ryan after a very short but incredibly mediated romance with “Man of Steel” star Henry Cavill. The two were only together for a couple of weeks but, during this time, they were photographed more than many other couples dating for longer.

Because of this, many assumed the “pairing” had been set up by their respective PR teams, thinking it would boost the careers of both. After all, it’s not that uncommon a practice in Hollywood.
