Kaiser Chiefs are the favorites to win this year's National Mercury Prize, expected to outrival
bands like Coldplay and The Magic Numbers, while The Leads band are 6/4 to take the top prize with their debut album "Employment".
"People say 'Oh, it's just great to be nominated, we don't mind whether or not we win.' They're lying to themselves. Everybody wants to win," Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson said after the nominations were announced in July.
The other artists shortlisted for the award are: Antony and the Johnsons, Bloc Party, Coldplay, The Go! Team, Hard-Fi, Seth Lakeman, The Magic Numbers, Maximo Park, MIA, Polar Bear and KT Tunstall.
