Have you ever wondered what it would be like if someone made a game where your only concern was to wreak havoc on a nice and peaceful city with a massive Kaiju? Have you ever wished that you could do that instead of it being done to you while playing SimCity?

Then you have to look no further than Kaiju-a-Gogo, an upcoming action-strategy hybrid title coming from developer Kerberos Productions. The game aims to deliver just that and is currently undergoing a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.

Kerberos Productions is no stranger to crowdfunding, having two previous successfully run campaigns under their belt, for their science-fiction roguelike The Pit and their turn-based strategy game Ground Pounders.

Kaiju-a-Gogo proposes a simple gameplay scenario: pick a giant monster; destroy cities all around the world; become the ruler of Earth.

"They called you MAD in university! They stole your LUNCH MONEY in grade school! It's time to build your SECRET LABORATORY and PLOT REVENGE!"

"Nothing less than COMPLETE WORLD DOMINATION will satisfy you now. Your magnificent monster is READY TO RUMBLE! It's time to make the world DANCE TO YOUR TUNE," urges the official blurb, and we couldn't agree more.

In the battle of giant monsters versus puny humans, the outcome is pretty clear, so be sure to be on the right side of all the destruction.

Players will take on the role of a mad scientist who has built the first-ever controlled Kaiju in the world. Other mad scientists, however, have also had the same glorious idea, to achieve world domination through the onslaught brought forth by a gigantic monster, and as such you only have a limited time span to capitalize on your head start.

You start the game by choosing one of the monsters and its associated mad scientist, assuming control of your base of operations, on a remote uncharted island. You proceed to crush city after city, upgrading your beast and progressively crushing all opposition, until the entire world bows to you.

Each Kaiju in the game will have dozens of possible abilities and upgrades, each one making it faster, more ferocious, and more terrifying than ever before. Players will have to decide the right upgrade path for their monster, and also manage their base and construct facilities that will hasten their global victory.

In addition to this, once the Kaiju Defense Force figures out the location of your remote base, you will also have to build up its defenses, to make sure that your plans aren't foiled by all those pesky humans that come gunning for you.

Kaiju-a-Gogo will be a multi-platform release, coming to PC, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS later this year.
