The company might work on a similar form factor device

Not too long ago, LG's KS360 was reported to be the first device from the Korean mobile phone maker to sport the popular Android operating system, yet it seems that the rumor proved to be false after all. The company was rumored back then to be planning on relaunching the QWERTY device on the market, only that this time it would load it with Google's platform.

It seems that Jeremy Newing, head of Marketing at LG Mobile UK, recently stated that the company did not plan to make such a move. In addition, he denied having said that the LG KS360 would be featuring the Android OS, reports Android Authority.

In addition, Jeremy Newing seems to have reinforced previous reports that the company would work on the manufacturing of an Android-powered mobile phone that would have a similar form factor to the LG KS360, and which should come with a wide range of social networking capabilities. Furthermore, he said that nothing should have pointed towards the relaunch of the handset with Android.

At the same time, it seems that the LG KS360 couldn't handle Google's Android platform, due to some factors that should be mentioned. For starters, it wouldn't make too much sense to see a company like LG relaunch a device only a year after the initial release, and preload it with just another operating system. In addition, the handset doesn't seem to have the screen resolution required by the platform. As many of you might already know, another Android-based device, namely the Kogan Agora, was delayed due to a too small display.

For what it's worth, LG will still work on the development of Android handsets, which is good news. And perhaps we will see soon enough at least one of those three such phones expected to be launched on the market during the ongoing year.
