After its release on
Verizon Motorola, KRZR K1m is now available for Canadian Telus subscribers,
Telus being the first Canadian wireless carrier to introduce RAZR's stylish little brother.
Considering the fact that older RAZR-like phones are not going to disappear or become less popular any time soon, and the fact that Motorola keeps releasing new ones, I guess this type of phone is very appealing to a great number of people and the release of KRZR K1m on Telus will make many Canadian people happy this holiday season.
The
KRZR K1m features a 1.3 megapixel camera with 8x zoom and day and night lighting modes, EV-DO high speed connectivity and Bluetooth technology. The integrated MP3 player goes hand-in-hand with the external "touch sensor" music controls and a MicroSD memory card slot for expandable memory that allows the users to store up to 1GB of their favorite tracks.
The design of the phone is pretty much the same, ultra-slim and very fashionable as one would expect from any of Motorola's recently released mobile phones, showcasing a multi-dimensional metallic gloss finish. K1m comes equipped with a 176 x 220 pixel 260k color internal display and a 128 x 96 65k color STN external display and weighs 112 grams and measures 84.6 x 46.8 x 19.8 mm. It is reported to have a talk time of up to 225 minutes and last up to 8 days on standby mode.
The Telus version of the KRZR X1m also features XM Sattelite Radio via Telus mobile radio and can be acquired for a price of $200, assuming that you are willing to sign a three-year contract, or $400 without a contract.
