After an exclusive presentation at CeBIT 2012, Klaus Knopper proudly announced today, May 30th, that KNOPPIX 7.0.1 is now available for download.

KNOPPIX 7.0.1 contains packages from Debian Stable (Squeeze), Debian Testing and Debian Unstable (Wheezy) operating systems.

Highlights of KNOPPIX 7.0.1:

· Linux kernel 3.3.7;
· X.Org 7.6;
· Xorg Server 1.12.1.902;
· New (experimental) autodetection of video cards;
· Optional 64-bit Linux kernel for systems with more than 4GB of RAM;
· LibreOffice 3.5.3;
· Chromium 18.0.1025.168;
· Mozilla Firefox 10.0;
· LXDE as default desktop environment;
· KDE SC 4.7.4;
· GNOME 3.4;
· ADRIANE 1.4;
· Wine 1.5.4;
· Viacam;
· Virtualbox 4.1.14;
· qemu-kvm 1.0;
· Extended support for broadcom Wi-Fi chipsets;
· Reimplemented the Knoppix submenu inside the start menu;
