Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless has just added two new devices to its offering, the KIN One and KIN Two handsets from Microsoft. Launched on the market as social phones, the new devices are meant to offer a new experience to those who want to stay connected with their friends on various social networking sites at all times .

KIN One and KIN Two are available for pre-order from Verizon's website, and they should hit the shelves on May 13. The former sports a price tag of $49.99, while the latter has been priced at $99.99. Both devices require the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier, on voice packs with data packs of $29.99.

When unveiling the new handsets, Microsoft announced that they were set to offer a new approach to the use of mobile phones when it came to very active people on social networking sites. Powered by an OS that reminds of Windows Phone 7, the phones do not sport high-end features, but they should do their jobs pretty well.

When it comes to the specs they include, we should mention touchscreen displays, coupled with QWERTY keyboards, 256 MB of RAM, coupled with 4GB of storage space for KIN One, and with 8GB of internal memory for KIN Two. The former packs a 5-megapixel photo snapper, while the latter comes with an 8MP camera. With mono and stereo speakers, respectively, the two phones should provide users with appealing music features too.

Those interested in learning a few more details on the two devices should have a look at the videos below (available via MobileBurn). The first one will provide a video tour of KIN One and its 2.6-inch QVGA touchscreen display, while the second will bring to the front the 3.4-inch QVGA touchscreen on KIN Two, as well as the handset's social messaging capabilities.

The KIN One and KIN Two can be pre-ordered from Verizon's website here.
