KDE Telepathy, a suite of applications that form an instant-messaging client for Jabber, Gmail, Facebook, and MSN, is now at version 0.7.

What makes KDE Telepathy different is that it completely integrates with Plasma Workspaces, but it can also be used as a normal application.

Highlights of KDE Telepathy 0.7:

• Support for Steam and Groupwise accounts has been implemented; • A few plugins from Kopete have been ported; • A new plugin automatically expands any shortened URL to see where it redirects to; • Users can now merge multiple contacts together; • Over 1,000 commits since 0.6 have been implemented and over 300 bugs have been corrected.

A complete list of changes can be found in the official announcement. Download KDE Telepathy 0.7 right now from official website.

Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
