KDE Telepathy, a suite of applications that form an instant-messaging client for Jabber, Gmail, Facebook, MSN, is now at version 0.3.

What makes KDE Telepathy different is that it completely integrates with Plasma Workspaces, but can also be used as a normal application.

The KDE Telepathy coincides with the release of KDE Workspaces, Applications and Platform 4.8. Here are the main changes:

· Plasmoid has been rewritten and simplified in order to control the online status; · Support for MSN-XMPP has been implemented; · The ability to resume file transfers has been integrated; · Contact tooltips in contact list have been improved; · Contact filtering in send file utility; · Support for /me in chats was implemented; · The contact list is now separated, self-contained, and works as an embeddable widget; · Support for multiple file transfers with drag'n'drop was introduced; · Redesigned dialog for adding accounts to show favorite IM networks first was added.

Download KDE Telepathy 0.3 right now from official website. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
