14 DAY TRIAL // The KDE Project has published today, February 29th, the release schedule for the upcoming KDE SC 4.9 environment.
The KDE Software Compilation 4.9 development cycle will be composed of two Beta releases and two Release Candidates.
The final version of KDE SC 4.9.0 will be available to general public on the 1st of August 2012. Without any further ado, here's the official release schedule for KDE SC 4.9:
May 30, 2012 - KDE 4.9 Beta 1 June 13, 2012 - KDE 4.9 Beta 2 June 27, 2012 - KDE 4.9 Release Candidate 1 July 11, 2012 - KDE 4.9 Release Candidate 2 August 1, 2012 - KDE 4.9 Final Release
The final release of KDE Software Compilation 4.9.0 will be followed by four point releases, KDE SC 4.9.1 on October 2nd, KDE SC 4.9.2 on November 6th, KDE SC 4.9.3 on December 4th, and KDE SC 4.9.4 on January 15th, 2013.
