The first maintenance release of KDE Software Compilation (KDE SC) 4.4.0 was unleashed last evening, March 3rd, by the KDE developers. Dubbed Clara, KDE SC 4.4.1 is here to update various translations, fix a great number of bugs and improve the overall performance. KDE SC 4.4.1 is composed of the KDE Plasma Workspace, the KDE Applications and the KDE Development Platform. Without further ado, let's take a look at the main changes brought by KDE Software Compilation 4.4.1:

· Fixed a performance issue in KMail that occurred when e-mails were sent; · Fixed various issues with the Plasma widgets and add-ons, including picture frame, luna applet, virus wallpaper, converter runner, unit-converter and the analog clock applets; · Fixed some issues in Konsole, the KDE SC terminal app.
