The KDE Project developers have just released the fifth maintenance version of Applications and Platform 4.12, and it comes with a moderate amount of changes and other fixes.

The fifth update for the KDE 4.12 branch is not something to write home about, but users should upgrade their systems as soon as possible.

“Today KDE released updates for its Applications and Development Platform, the fifth in a series of monthly stabilization updates to the 4.12 series. This release also includes an updated Plasma Workspaces 4.11.9. Both releases contain only bugfixes and translation updates, providing a safe and pleasant update for everyone.”

“With a bit more than 10 recorded bugfixes including improvements to Personal Information Management suite Kontact, Umbrello UML Modeller, audio CD listening app Kscd, web browser Konqueror, file manager Dolphin and others the bug count goes down,” reads the official announcement.

According to the changelog, images on Random and Loop Buttons are no longer switched, open/save file dialogs are now translated when they run from Qt apps, Konqueror no longer crashes on a video platform, and a regression with the Overwrite Dialog has been fixed.

More details about this build and the changes in the 4.12 branch can be found in the official announcement. Also, you can download the latest KDE Applications and Development Platform 4.12.5 sources right now from Softpedia.
