The KDE Project has just announced the immediate availability for download of KDE Software Compilation 4.12.1, the first update in the series.

The developers have released the first major update for this version of KDE and, as usual, it implements a lot of bug fixes and changes.

“More than 45 recorded bugfixes include improvements to the personal information management suite Kontact, the UML tool Umbrello, the document viewer Okular, the web browser Konqueror, the file manager Dolphin, and others.”

“Umbrello standardizes the global, diagram and widget settings and adds a clone diagram function. Dolphin gets a bug fixed that slowed down pdf preview under certain circumstances. In Kontact, several bugs and regressions were fixed in the KOrganizer, Akregator and KMail components,” reads the official announcement.

If you want a more detailed description of the updated packages, you can always check the bug logs. Download the KDE 4.12.1 sources right now from Softpedia.
