KDB Daewoo Securities has released a research note according to which Apple will deploy its most powerful iPhone yet this year. Not that there was any doubt about that, but the specs are quite impressive (if they turn out to be accurate).

According to KDB, the iPhone 6 will come with a 4.7-inch display, possibly even a 4.8-inch screen. A larger version will also be available, sporting a 5.5-inch display, according to the research note.

Numerous reports have cited these two distinct screen sizes for the iPhone 6.

The smaller display will do full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels), while the bigger one will be 2K (2272 x 1280 pixels).

Storage-wise, customers will have the following options on the table: 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. Both phones will come equipped with 2GB of RAM, while at least one of them will have an 1800 mAh battery.

The rear camera stays in place at 8 megapixels, and the front-facing camera will be upgraded to 3.2 megapixels, the report says. The phones will be powered by an A8 64-bit processor.

Apple will deploy the phones in the second or third quarter of this year. It isn’t clear if they’re talking fiscal quarters or calendar quarters, but it’s safe to say that these guys – like many others – are expecting Apple to launch its new iPhones during summer.

The Cupertino giant holds its Worldwide Developers Conference in the June-July timeframe every year. Apple usually books Moscone West for the opening keynote where journalists are invited to witness some software unveilings, and sometimes even hardware announcements.

At least two iPhones were unveiled at WWDC prior to the switch to a fall refresh cycle, so it wouldn’t be unheard of to see iPhone 6 launched at this year’s developer conference.
