This is pretty much Sony Ericsson day and you'll probably hear a lot about the eight mobile phones they released.

Along with the W880, K550 photos and rumors were also spread on the Internet and some people were looking forward to the official release and complete spec sheet of this phone.

Comparing to the K810 that was also released today, the K550 is more of a mid-range camera phone coming equipped with a 2 megapixel camera with autofocus, a two-LED flash and an active lens cover.

The mobile phone also packs a 1.9 inch 262k color display, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, 64MB of internal memory, a Memory Stick Micro M2 card slot for memory expansion and an FM Radio.

Its twin brother, the K550im will be the first Cybershot camera phone to be i-mode enabled. According to Sony Ericsson, the K550 is meant to bring the Cybershot experience to more people and it's expected to be less expensive than most of its brothers.

Photos can be transferred or shared in various ways. They can either be sent to a blog site through the phone's Picture Blogging function or transferred through Bluetooth.

With the PictBridge function it is also possible to print directly via USB from the K550 to a compatible printer. While the K810 will probably only be available in Europe and China, the K550 will also be heading towards the US.

Expect this phone to start shipping in the first quarter of this year and come in two color variations that you can choose between, Jet Black and Pearl White.
