PC-Cooling introduced its newest Cooltek-branded PC casing, the Cooltek K4. This case is aimed at the mid-range market segment and is a medium-sized tower of 430 mm in height, 190 mm wide and with a diagonal of 48 centimeters.

The case is built with three exposed (external) 5.25” drive bays and six internal 3.5” bays. It has a built-in tool-free retention mechanism for the used drives (whether hard drives, SSDs or optical units). Similar mechanisms will also handle the PCI cards. One particular fact about the Cooltek-branded product is that it is entirely fabricated from SECC-steel.

As such, although not very big, it weighs no less than 5.2 kilograms. It can accommodate most motherboards, except the very large ones, and most other components, excluding, maybe, the large graphics-adapter prototypes such as Radeon HD 5970, which just barely manages to fit into even the biggest cases currently available on the market.

The case does not come with any included fans, but is able to accommodate some on the front and rear parts, up to four 120mm fans, to be exact. In addition, the front of the casing comes with an I/O panel, which includes two audio and two USB ports.

This case, aimed at the mid and, perhaps, the low-end markets, is among the sturdiest currently available. Indeed, it is as heavy as a boulder, but desktop PCs weren't meant to me moved very much in the first place. Those looking to make a new configuration or just change their current casing will find that the Cooltek K4 will be a perfect fortress for their prized configuration, giving a sense of authority through its solid-steel frame.

The K4 has already been made available for purchase and is selling at a retail price approximately equal to 44.90 Euro (which is about $67).
