Because the action comedy hasn’t caused enough trouble

Because the action comedy “The Interview” hasn’t caused enough trouble already, Sony Pictures is looking at another legal problem. K-pop star Yoon Mi-Rae plans to sue the studio because the film makes use of one of her songs event though she didn’t sign off on it.

The song in question is a collaboration with her husband Tiger JK, “Pay Day,” and is featured in a scene in which Kim Jung-un invites his friend Dave Skylark to a real party – because being a dictator means having the perks of being able to rally as many pretty girls in the same room as one could ever desire.

You can see the scene in question in the video below. Right underneath it is the full version of the track.

Vulture says that the rapper’s label Feel Ghood Music has already issued a statement to say that Sony used the song without permission. Permission was asked at one point, but as far as they knew, talks had stalled and Sony never got back to them.

Apparently, that’s because Sony went ahead and used the song nonetheless, without paying them or the artist a dime.

“We will be taking legal action against Sony Pictures as well as DFSB, the agency that had been carrying out the discussion regarding the use of the track,” Feel Ghood Music says.

“The Interview” also offended a lot of people in North Korea, particularly leader Kim Jong-un, who meets a very gruesome and untimely death in the film, at the hands of said Skylark. The FBI has determined that the Sony Hack of last month, when the Guardians Of Peace broke into the company’s servers and made away with thousands of files containing the most sensitive information, was carried out at the request of North Korea.
