K-Fed Rocks the Rocker Act

- Looks like he's finally bringing home some cash of his own

By: Monica Gaza, Entertainment News Editor

It's been a long time since I had the chance to write something about K-Fed that didn't involve him going to court, being pissed at Britney or snatching up his kids from their deluded mother after a four-hour police standoff. That and being an unemployed failed rapper with nothing to brag about except having had sex with Britney Spears at least two times – and I'm not sure that's something a guy should
admit of his own free will. Well, let's face it: we all consider K-fed a bit of a joke, a guy who states he has zero income and lives off what Britney gives him in spousal and child support. I was never a fan of the extremes, but it would seem that in the world of celebrities that's often the only way to cope, and I think that Kevin Federline has been one of the guys out there on whom everyone has an opinion that's either very good or very bad.

And since we've been dealing with the very bad for a while now, it's time we said something... well, nor necessarily good, but at least mildly appreciative of K-Fed's efforts to make it look like he can do other things except play Mr. Mom. It's for you to decide if he manages to pull off this little "pimp me up" stunt or not, but I for one think he just might. K-Fed landed an acting job back in autumn last year, and guest starred in a three-episode arc of "One Tree Hill" (on CW). The first of these episodes aired this Tuesday, and fragments of it made their way to the Internet (you can check out one of them below) for us to see and discuss. Well, the number one shocker is that K-Fed plays a rocker, and not a rapper. On second thought, maybe that was a good idea. You know, assign him a completely fictional identity so that people don't start trashing his rapping skills, thus taking the focus away from the story arc. Shocker number two – K-Fed's cast mates actually call him "nice" and "professional".

Personally, I have a little bit of a problem with seeing K-Fed nod his head like a veritable rocker, but hey, I guess it's baby steps at first and I'm thinking he did get paid for this, so it's a good beginning. I know he won't end up the planet's biggest comedian, but at least he's trying – and even if he is simply doing this because he misses the spotlight (not the one he gets dealing with Brit Brit I mean), at least it's a small proof that he's not this big villain that plans to give Britney a frappuccino intoxication so that he can inherit her money. At least I hope he's not. We'll just have to wait and see.
